Technology & Tech Support

As a student at UT Dallas, you’ve got free access to all kinds of technology platforms, software, equipment and services.

But we recognize how difficult it can be to keep track of everything, so we’ve curated a list of important tech-related resources below.

Our goal is to help you find what you’re looking for as quickly and easily as possible!

Technology Essentials

Have you just enrolled or recently arrived on campus? Please check out the New Student Tech Checklist and download the UT Dallas mobile app to make sure you’re ready to go before classes start.

If the New Student Tech Checklist is too much for you to tackle right now, just start with the basics:

Computer Labs & Cloud Storage

Need a Windows or Mac computer? We’ve got computer labs located in the Founders Building and the Eugene McDermott Library. Check out the OIT Computer Labs page for more information.

Make sure you take advantage of our free cloud services. Set up your OneDrive account today to get access to 1TB in free storage!

Computer & Technology Purchases

UT Dallas students can get discounts on technology by visiting the UT Dallas Bookstore or buying computers through Dell

Equipment Loaners

Need to get your hands on technology but don’t want to make a big purchase right now?

UTD students can request loaner equipment from OIT or short-term laptop loans from the Eugene McDermott Library.

While you’re there, you can check out all kinds of equipment and devices, from calculators and cameras to tripods, voice recorders, DVD/Blu-Ray players, and much more.

Printing & Copying Services

For basic services, you can use printers, copiers, or scanners at the Eugene McDermott Library, computer labs, or the CometPrint kiosks located around campus.

If you’re looking to print business cards, posters, flyers, or anything else, get in touch with the Print and Copy Services team, and they’ll help you with all your printing needs!

Streaming Media & LinkedIn Learning

Did you know that UT Dallas students have access to all kinds of free media?

You can check out eBooks and audiobooks, watch movies and documentaries, and take as many free LinkedIn Learning courses as you like!
