Student Veterans & Military-Affiliated Students
If you’re transferring to UT Dallas and you’ve previously served in the U.S. military or you’re a military-affiliated student, we’d like to point you to the special programs and services offered by the Military and Veteran Center (MVC).

The MVC provides free resources and support to military-affiliated students, from the beginning of the admission process all the way to graduation.
These opportunities are available to student veterans, current members of the military, ROTC cadets, and students with military-affiliated parents or spouses.
Some of the MVC’s many supports include:
- Detailed veteran and military-affiliated student guides with important pre-admission, application, and admission information.
- Scholarship opportunities for UTD’s student veterans.
- Opportunities to connect with the Peer Advisors for Veteran Education (PAVE) mentoring program.
- Access to Career & VETworking professional development opportunities.
- Invitation to join the Student Veterans Association or take part in the MVC’s welcome lunches or discussion group sessions.
- A special cord ceremony for soon-to-be graduates and access to MVC’s Alumni Group.
